The Nightingale Centre was honored to participate in the 2025 Lucknow’s Music In The Fields (LMIF)! We thank everyone who stopped by to say hello and to honor their losses by adding their loved ones name and a wish, a memory or a message to our Wish Tree. It filled our hearts to hear about the amazing people and furry friends who are such a special part of us and who have forever changed and touched our lives.

Lucknow’s Music In The Fields loves hosting new talent on stage and the Emerging Artist showdown has become even more meaningful to LMITF in recent years. Back in 2012, Kitchener-local James Cameron entered his band into the festival’s first ever Emerging Artist Showdown as an energetic teendger. The crowd was so impressed that they were brough back in 2013, and again in 2018 to celebrate the 10th anniversary in the fields.
He continued to play events across Southern Ontario to an ever-growing fan base- always owning the stage with his incredible energy and trademark red pants.
Sadly, in 2020, James died from his ongoing battle with mental health. Following his death, the festival dedicated the annual Emerging Artist Showdown to the memory of its inaugural winner and donates festival proceeds towards mental health organizations in James honour. Thank you to the Cameron family for allowing LMITF to continue this tribute.
As an organization that understands grief, we are deeply honoured to participate in an event that acknowledges the impact grief and death have on families and comnnunities – while simultaneously celebrating our love for them and their lives, memories, and forever impact.
HONOURING JAMES CAMERON
Sadly, in 2020, James died from his ongoing battle with mental health. Following his death, the festival dedicated the annual Emerging Artist Showdown to the memory of its inaugural winner and donates festival proceeds towards mental health organizations in James’s honour. 💛 Thank you to the Cameron family for allowing LMITF us to continue this tribute.
This year, LMITF is partnering with us – The Nightingale Centre, a charitable organization that provides grief and bereavement support to children, youth, and their families. As an organization that understands grief, we are deeply honoured to participate in an event that acknowledges the impact grief and death have on families and communities while simultaneously celebrating our love for them and their lives, memories, and forever impact.
You can feel good supporting this event knowing that 100% of LMITF proceeds go directly to local charities, schools, hospitals, and other community initiatives in need.
